We don’t have a membership scheme. That’s because we don’t think people who care about the planet should have to pay to belong. Joining our barefoot army is, and always will be, free.
However, it does cost money for us to continue. Much of the work done on the project has been done for free, for the love of the oceans, which is no problem - until we have to pay our phone bills and all the associated costs that arise from running a not-for-profit organisation.
Currently our income comes from the profit from our beach clean boards, which is about £30 per board. That is ring-fenced for Dolly, who does all the hard work with permissions, delivery, design and making sure they are looked after properly. The rest of the costs are met by Copy Monkey Limited, Martin’s writing business, which has supported the campaign since day one.
