Here at The Beach Clean Network we take your privacy seriously. We do not give data to third parties, unless permission has been granted in advance. And that is basically never. That means you won’t get piles of email from random websites trying to sell you stuff.
We gather data such as names, emails and addresses where it is necessary to deliver physical items to you or to enable downloads of our copyrighted content via our shop. We do this to be able to find out where to deliver stuff or to find out who is taking advantage of our offers.
If you receive an email from us it will only be because you have bought something from us, have subscribed to our email list or have downloaded our app. You are welcome to unsubscribe at any time.

We generally only collect email addresses, because that is all we need to send you newletters. However, when it comes to purchasing or downloading items from our shop we need to take address also. If you object, please get in touch and we will remove you from our database.

We process your personal data only when it is given to us freely, with your consent, because we have provided some kind of product or service to you, whether this is to use our app, download materials or buy products. You can withdraw this consent at any time by writing to our data controller or by unsubscribing from our emails. Your data will then be erased from our database immediately.

We don’t share data. It’s as simple as that.
Where do we store, secure and process personal data?
We store your data online, in online data management tools, such as campaign monitor, as well as on a local PC in our office. We do not allow anyone to have access to those files unless they are working for us and are carrying out specific tasks relating to Beach Clean Network activities.
How long do we keep your personal data for? Your rights.
We keep data for a period of 2 years (24 months) from the date we gather it, unless requested to do so. For downloads we keep the information for 12 months, in order to assess the impact of the download, where appropriate. Under GDPR law you have the right to see what information we hold of yours. Contact us for this information. Remember that anyone can unsubscribe at any time and can have data removed or amended at any time by getting in touch with our data controller, or by unsubscribing to emails.
If you choose to get in touch we will respond to you within 7 days.
We dispose of all data held digitally, from online data management tools and folders, digitally.
If you think we have acted unreasonably and have handled your data illegally, you can make a complaint against us with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
